I am a body-oriented Gestalt psychotherapist, educator, and dancer in private practice in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Gestalt Therapy is relational and present-focused. Central to this way of working is the fundamental belief that the client, with support, knows the best way of adjusting to their situation. By heightening awareness through dialogue and creative experiments, the conditions for one’s personal journey to health are created.
As a faculty member at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, I co-chair the Gestalt Training Program, and teach in the Working with Physical Process advanced training program.
When working with individuals, families, and groups, I incorporate attending to embodiment and breath with traditional talk therapy. By increasing our awareness of our movement patterns and the ways in which we hold tension in our bodies, we can expand our sense of ourselves, our connection with others, as well as facilitate profound healing.
With over 25 years of experience as a dancer, I integrate my love of movement with an evidence-based, collaborative, embodied- relational approach in my work with clients.
I received my BA in Dance from UCLA, and my MA in Clinical Counseling from John Carroll University.
In my free time I enjoy dancing, digging in the dirt, spending time with my children and loved ones, reading, and being in nature.
